A psychological‑horror one‑shot for Dread.

I’ve spent years running tabletop RPGs across a variety of systems, gradually building a personal library of campaigns, settings, and one‑shots. Wanting to organize and structure my scattered projects somewhat, I've started the work of polishing a handful of scenarios and making them publicly available.

Dread is one of my favorite systems, and most of my one-shot scenarios are written with Dread in mind. The scenario is no exception but it can, of course, also be played in other systems.

About the scenario

The Morals of Knossos is a psychological horror story that is inspired from three different sources: the Greek myth of the Minotaur, the Prohibition‑era underworld of 1920s New Orleans, and the Doctor Who episode “The God Complex.” Most of the adventure takes place in a shifting hotel that functions as a haunted labyrinth.

The plot opens with several characters waking up with no memory of the last five years. They discover they are trapped inside Hotel Knossos, a surreal structure that constantly reshapes itself and forces each player into rooms that embody their deepest fears. Their collective amnesia hides a darker secret: they once ran a speakeasy tied to organized crime. The labyrinth serves both as punishment and as a test.
